"Crashing Seas" I stand on the hot sand just beyond the water's reach, frozen, mesmerized by the rhythm of the ebb and flow. One moment, she's so peaceful. Calm and still. Then she turns, slaps the shore as if to declare she was the one in charge. No one dare question her power. The ground shook as she heaved herself up and over to crush the outflowing tide underneath. Then, after only a moment, she was calm, quiet, and all at peace.

"Good Morning!" When I was very young, my family would spend summers on the "farm" in the rural parts of Spalding County Georgia. I loved to wake up, grab my Raggedy Ann, and find my daddy fishing at the pond right at daybreak. "Are they biting?" I'd ask. He was delighted I asked and I always got a thorough report about what the fish were doing in their pond that day. Such special memories!

Wake up to such a glorious sunrise!

"Little Falls" There is a special state park about a half hour from where I grew up. It's called High Falls. Below the dam, water falls cascade down the river to lower ground. Huge boulders line the edges of the water, but are also the source of the peaks and valleys in the river that create the myriad of waterfalls. Far down the trail following the water's path, there was a hideaway of sorts, at the edge of the water and tucked under the low canopy of vegitation. I called it "Little Falls" and it was my sacred place for finding peace and learning to hear God!.

"Sugar Beach" One of the most beautiful places I've been is called Sugar Beach. The sands are snow white like sugar and the water is a beautiful, clear aquamarine color. I have many great memories of family and friends being at Sugar Beach with me! When I look at this painting and let myself get lost in it, I can almost feel the salty breeze on my cheeks and the sun on my skin.
